3. Check that you are ready

You complete the purchase in your own Azure account. We cannot see it, so please check these points yourself.

How does your company buy Azure? Directly from Microsoft (pay-as-you-go or Microsoft Customer Agreement) Enterprise Agreement (EA) Through a Microsoft partner (Cloud Solution Provider, CSP)

How do I check?

In the Azure portal open Cost Management + Billing, then Billing scopes. The billing account type says Microsoft Customer Agreement, Enterprise Agreement or Microsoft Online Services Program (pay-as-you-go). If your Azure invoice comes from a Microsoft partner, you buy through a CSP.

Azure subscription ID

The subscription the purchase is billed through. It needs a payment method: a Free, MSDN or Visual Studio subscription cannot buy.

How do I find it?

In the Azure portal search for "Subscriptions". The ID is the 36-character code in the Subscription ID column, for example 1a2b3c4d-1a2b-1a2b-1a2b-1a2b3c4d5e6f.

I am Owner or Contributor on this subscription.

How do I check?

Open the subscription in the Azure portal, then Access control (IAM), Check access, View my access. Owner or Contributor is needed to buy.

4. Open Microsoft Marketplace

We save your details, then open the product on Microsoft Marketplace. Choose your plan there and buy. Afterwards Microsoft sends you back to us to activate your account.
